CDC Denies Existance of Zombies

Despite the increase in cannibal cases, the unknown chemical spills and mysterious rashes, many zombie enthusiasts are staring compelling evidence right in the face. The CDC itself, despite having a zombie preparation part of their webpage available, says that there is basically no chance of zombies.
The one thing that they don't realize is that you don't need the dead to rise from the grave to have zombies. As seen in 28 Days Later the zombies themselves could be created by a virus. This is again being disputed by the  CDC. The newest idea is the prospect that "bath salts" could initially be the cause of zombies. As discussed in a previous post, the increase in cannibal cases can almost be directly linked to this "new drug".
But the evidence above such as the rashes, chemical spills and people chewing and or eating other people, is nothing to worry about.

Nothing to worry about?
Who are they trying to fool?

UPDATE!
According to a recent CDC interview they commented that they do not know of any virus or any condition that would create zombie like behavior.

If anyone on this site has read through the zombie survival guide on this blog they'd know the CDC is lying.

Things To Look For in the Early Stages of an Outbreak

Symptoms of Infection:
-High sustained fever which is unresponsive to medications and lasts over 24 hours.
-High amounts of perspiration
-Blurry vision
-Disorientation
-Nausea/ Vomiting
-Loss of Appetite
-Mumbling
-Muscle spasms or jerks (uncontrollable)
-Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

All of these symptoms are rapid in their development and may not occur, this all depends on where and how the initial infection took place.

Observations:
-Lack of Animal sounds
-General state of uneasiness
-Unknown illness cases increasing (notice patterns of infection)
-Reports of "Cannibal like" attacks

Survival Packs 101

People don't seem to remember to create a "survival pack" or "disaster plan" when they need it. That's why I am here to help! There are essential items around every house that can end up being a life saver!
These are some essentials for a basic kit:

  • Water, one gallon of water per person per day for at least three days, for drinking and sanitation
  • Food, at least a three-day supply of non-perishable food
  • Battery-powered or hand crank radio and a NOAA Weather Radio with tone alert and extra batteries for both
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • First aid kit
  • Whistle to signal for help
  • Dust mask to help filter contaminated air and plastic sheeting and duct tape to shelter-in-place
  • Moist towelettes, garbage bags and plastic ties for personal sanitation
  • Wrench or pliers to turn off utilities
  • Manual can opener for food
  • Local maps (no one seems to think about this)
  • Cell phone with chargers, inverter or solar charger
For a long term situation the best thing to remember is "what could be useful?" Things such as rope, scissors, Clorox wipes, gloves etc. are some things to thing about as well!

The Walking Dead Returns!

In October The Walking Dead will be returning for it's third season on AMC. For those of you who have not seen the show it follows Deputy Rick Grimes from his hospital bed to his family and other survivors (Season 1) to trying to stay alive and dealing with the heavy blows of loss (Season 2).
Season 2 will be released on DVD (from my understanding) in the fall as well. To all zombie fans I highly suggest that you watch the series and or read the comic books! They're amazing!
